The Long Run – Information

IMPORTANT: This field is new and does not yet benefit from vegetation growing around the perimeter edge to discourage escapees. Priority has been to make it a safe, fully-enclosed field with drive in access and basic essentials so that it is of benefit and use to dog owners as soon as possible.

UNTIL THE GRASS IS MORE ESTABLISHED IT IS NOT SUITABLE FOR DOGS THAT ARE INTENT ON SQUEEZING OR DIGGING THEIR WAY OUT AS THERE MAY BE RABBITS AND OTHER WILDLIFE WHO HAVE TRIED TO DIG THEIR WAY IN AND HAVE LEFT A HOLE UNDER THE FENCE LINE

Field Information

This secure field has drive-in access and is approximately 5 acres.

Significant investment has been made on double fence lines and Camouflage Netting as this field has a boundary with neighbours on two sides who may have horses or dogs running loose.

Although efforts have been taken to improve drainage and reduce mud, there may be areas that are wet and wellies and towels (to dry dogs) are recommended.

This ground is predominately flat and there is a fair amount of boundary vegetation that provides some shelter from the elements.

Timeslots start on the HOUR and slots are 50 minutes long. They are booked on an exclusive use basis with a 10 minute changeover between bookings so that dogs and visitors don’t have to bump into each other.

The field contains a mixture of obstacles and activities as well as plenty of space to run around.

This field is about 5 acres in size and ideal for dogs (or humans) who want to exercise alone, for recall practice and for mental and physical stimulation

  • Approximately 5 acres that are exclusively yours to use
  • Securely fenced with 5ft – 6ft stock fencing
  • Sheltered – There is a Field Shelter and also a fair amount of boundary vegetation that provides shelter from the elements
  • Fun for your dog with lots of mental and physical canine stimulation
  • Equipped for you too (with spare poo bags, dog water, waste bins, first aid kit etc)
